Kor, House of Wind – 4th Day of Urban Dionysia

The Διονύσια τὰ ἀστικά ‘Urban Dionysia’, are the last Dionysian celebrations of the Hellenic lunar calendar. They close the yearly events in boreal spring – austral fall – with other rituals, dances and performances. Each day of the Dionysia, I introduce, with only one sentence, a piece of performance art from anyone in the world, at any moment of history, accessible online, and that I want to share. This includes: theatre, opera, dance, body art and cinema.

The fourth sharing is 【Kor, Maison du Vent】 ‘Kor, House of Wind’, by the troupe ‘Théâtre Talipot’ from Réunion Island, France – a local theatre company with which I was personally initiated in drama when I was a kid, at least the first years. In French corps means ‘body’ and the word is used in French Creole here (‘Kor’) as if it were a human name, while the main theme of this work is clearly the air and the wind among us and in our lives.

Here is the 【list of previous sharings】 for the Urban Dionysia.
